Léo
11 years old
Leo has dyspraxia. He picks things up quickly, but handwriting exhausts him. When speaking, he's clear, curious and engaged. At school, he keeps up with the pace as long as his written work isn't judged on presentation.
How to help him
- One instruction at a time
- Written notes photocopied or sent by email
- Allow keyboard use for longer assignments
What to avoid
Don't force him to copy his lessons by hand. Don't judge him on his handwriting rather than on the content.
